My name is Anne Moilanen and I live with my husband in Särkisalo, which is located in South-West Finland, about 40 km from Salo and about 80 km from Turku. We have two children, but one of them is already living on his own. My first aussie "Retu" (born 1996) came to us as a rescue-dog, and thanks to Retu I fell in love with this breed. Quite soon after acquiring Retu, I got my second aussie, Vilma - my "once in a lifetime" aussie, who taught me a lot of dog shows and breeding as well. At home we have now four aussies, who are our dear pets. I have also placed a couple of aussies, who are living as pets in their own homes.  

My hobby with aussies is mainly dog shows, and I travel with them not only in Finland but also abroad. At home my dogs have long walks in the forests with my husband. There is so much to do and sniff in the forests of Särkisalo. At home they amuse themselves by hunting little Finnish lizards and all kinds of small animals.  

I breed Australian terriers on a small scale in the middle of our family-life. I plan my litters with great care. My goal is to breed healthy, true aussies with great character; aussies who make their families happy every day during years. I'm enriching my lines by bringing "new blood" regularly from abroad. So far I have imported aussies from Australia and the USA, and exported aussies to the USA and to our neighbouring country Estonia. For example, co-operation with the breeder of my USA imports has been very rewarding and we have become good friends. I'm watching very actively the achievements of the relatives of my imports in their home country, and I have also seen those dogs in real life during my trip to the USA. I think this is important, because the pedigree doesn’t tell you everything. Although I bring regularly "new blood" to my lines, I try to maintain my favourite type and style of aussie in every combination: my favourite aussie is a strong, small terrier who is full of zest for life.
